Found these around some older finds ...

they all are raised outward and sculpted/hollow on the backsides

been kinda curious ever since I found them

the boars head writing is latin

Yes the horse, a watch band to a pocket watch would go through the hoop thing. :thumbsup:

Yeah pic2 is a fob for sure, 1st pic of the boars head in the garter possibly a military cap badge, maybe just a family crest( Scottish origin) 3rd pic may be a brooch,
Good finds just the same

I agree on the Scottish or Irish family crest--very cool in any case. :thumbsup:
 

Found this about the boar's head clan badge...."The words "Vix ea nostra voco" are Latin and associated with the Scottish "Campbell" name as well as many other clans and families. The phrase means "I scarcely call these things our own". The motto relates to the principle of stewardship, that we don't really own anything, we just look after what we have throughout our lifetime." The horse head key fob is cool, as well as the Victorian era "Cat and Lizard" brooch. Great finds, Sub 8-)
