Just curious..why do you think it mighrt have been a bridge?

I'm guessing there's a creek or river near by?

Came across this today while medal detecting and trying to figure out if an old bridge or dam? Looks pretty old. Bullitt county/Jefferson county border in KY.

Appreciate any info.
Nice!!!

If you can find the 1868 Beers maps, that will answer the question.

Doesn't look like a dam or bridge to me.

With the water close by, I have to wonder if it was an old moonshiners still site.

Maybe a big cold shed on the creek.

Can't tell what it is from here but it took a lot of time to build.
So, you would think there would be some good finds in the area.
Good Luck !

It might be a grist mill , can you get a pic of both sides ..?
