Mystery Coin/Token

Any help with getting an ID on this coin/token would be appreciated! I'm located in Kansas and recently tried my hand at detecting in the water where it was found in a river below an old dam. I tried a google image search and it is too far gone to get a match.

Well I don't think it's a Fugio. I jumped the gun.

I wish! That would be a find of a lifetime, especially here in Kansas haha. With the patina it has, I am pretty sure it has some age to it though.

Don't doubt the Fugio in Kansas. I've seen a few come out of the creek not too far from me on one of the reservations.

I also got some native American relation that the elders talked about getting them in trade. Soo it's possible someday you will find one.

That's awesome. I used to work at the Reservoir close to there. This find was actually found on the Smoky Hill close to Salina. Lot's of cool areas on the Smoky Hill River, especially the old town site of Ellsworth!

I got to say that's a pretty close match! Thanks a ton! I'm going to try and clean the coin up a bit more and see if I can match up a few more of those details. The reverse characters look almost identical though.

THAT'S IT! Mystery solved. King George V Canada One Penny. Thank you everyone. Looks like this particular style with the wreath and King George V ran from 1912-1920.

Before I read the other members replies I was also thinking it could be a Canadian Large Cent.
