Thanks I know nothing about coins, on the back, one side is almost even with the edge but then it gets the ridge like on the front but not as deep. The front is pretty deep I think you could pour water in it and it would stay there?

Looking at the information on the link you gave it would have to be a very hard strike if that's what it is, but I have no clue not being a coin person.
 

I am not an expert but in my dime searches I have seen this many times. Seems that some dimes just get hit a little harder than others in the mint.

if you are bored and going to go through your change looking for double dies and misstrikes of any kind i would check out the cherry pickers guide. by bill fiaz j.t. stanton great book with cool picks of the coins
 

I have seen many like it. No real premium. Good eyes though.
 

Looks like a huge die crack through the M in dime. Hasn't been struck twice though cause there's no doubling. Can't imagine why it would be struck any harder than all the other coins either. Not much help sorry, but there's a couple of things to think about.
