You solved my other questions. Here are some more parts. All of these parts were stored for a very long time and some had rusted and have been cleaned and oiled. Maybe they need to bring the Steve Avery case on this forum and we would learn the answer for sure? What are these parts fellas?

The Lock in the first pic looks a whole lot like the early Hawken rifles to me.
However you will likely need to have that confirmed by an expert.

Definitely not a Hawken lock, they used a front action lock not a back action, whole different animal.

NOLA Ken, after you put the name G. Goulcher I could put this to rest other than the caliber, style of rifle. On the lock plate I can see a G and part of that name. Thanks to you and all that has helped. Now if I can have help identifying the small pistol barrel?
