so yea took the vx3 out again and decided to dig all good repeatable no matter the VDI number and yea wont be doing that again. for a while anyways.
thank god i am in fl and digging is not do bad! i remember digging up north my arms where hurting at times lol anyways there are some slugs there not sure if they were shotgun or not any one wanna chime in on what they were be cool. there round and flat on bottom and top have groves around them never seen ones like that and there are alot of them there. anyways happy hunting !

That's a lot of lead. The two headstamps are pretty old. The Rival was made from 1884 to 1929, and the defiance was made starting in 1926.
 

I’ve got a spot like that. Pulled a few cw bullets, buttons and a large cent out…..but 97% is modern lead. I’m not good enough to not dig those sounds.

And those flat nose bullets (with the “weave” pattern) in your pics are wadcutters and semi wadcutters, likely .38s.

how old would you say the wadcutters are?
