Official Florida Hunt - please post conversations here - Feb - 1,2,3, 2013

Proud of Garrett. They have been good to me. Will there be prizes from donation's from the members...

Like some one else asked I can bring some old dateless B nickles and clad that the bank won't take?

yes we love donations for prizes, more means the more we can give away!!! still waiting on a few more that sent notices...gonna be awesome!!

Okay, it has been entirely to quiet here...... So sending along a recipe for a quick and easy snack cake.... Buy one package angel food cake and one package of a flavor of choice. Mix them together in a large ziplock bag making sure they are well mixed.... Take three (3) tablespoons of the mixture and place in microwavable bowl, add two(2) tablespoons of water and blend thoroughly, cook on high in microwave for one (1) minute, you just made a 3,2,1 cake one piece no mess......Save the rest of the cake mixture for when you have another snack attack....

Please add Pete, Diane and my daughter Gwyneth to list.

Got y'all added. Gwyneth loves to hunt...I never seen a youngster as enthusiastic as she is with detecting. How old is she?

work has me crazy...sorry.....still working on stuff for the hunt.......

Interested!! Waiting for more info.
Thanks,
Bunker

Mayo Town Park

In March 1898, W.T. Dees petitioned the Board of County Commissioners for telephone wire lines on public roads to the Luraville Ferry. The petition was granted. This brought the first telephones to Mayo. A light plant and water works were established in Mayo in 1907 by the Dees family.

Along about this same time, Mr. Dees gave land to the Town of Mayo for a park. Now known as Mayo Town Park, it was known at that time as Dees Park, and for a time it was a great place, particularly with the beautiful live oaks, many of which are still standing. This park was the gathering place for many town and country social occasions.

Received some great news from ocalasix...he has secured permission for us to hunt this park!! :hello2:

Just to let my friends know, due to circumstances beyond my direct control, I will not be attending the hunt as planned. Lots of luck and great finds to everyone, I hope y'all enjoy!

Lot of folks I'd like to meet and several I already know.... Perhaps another time~!
