OFFICIAL EBAY THREAD! Post your finds, sales and PROFITS :)

I bought a big box of records for $5. Just sold a bunch of them for $70. What I love about it is that I can send them media mail and save a bunch on shipping. I still have a bunch more to list.

What type of shipping box do you use for records. I have a lot of good ones but have not been able to find shipping boxes for them. Was wholesaling them to a record shop but they got real cheap on me and it is not worth it for what they offer.

Ebay has a bunch of them and most offer free shipping depending how many you need.

I get 99% of my shipping supplies there...can't beat the prices.

Just search record shipping boxes.

I use these LP shipping boxes available @ ebay item/lot: 300349048398 over 1 year ago. It is still available from the same seller to this date and the price has even gone down slightly.

I flat pack them in cardboard then ship them USPS Media Mail. I can send a lot of 3 records for less than $4 with delivery confirmation. I offer free shipping on ebay and start a sale around $10. Sold three Michael Jackson records for $33.

It was a Parker 51 Vacumatic double? jeweled. It was dark reds and black. Beautiful pen, had no idea what it was worth. Jumped from $76 to $700 in the last few seconds. Another score I had was I bought a few thousand salt and pepper shakers. The elderly woman I bought them from said they all had mates and they were all in perfect condition. Some were from the 1840's all the way to the 1950's. Anyway, bought them for $500, got home, and not ONE pair in the bunch. Called the lady up, told me tough luck and hung up. Joke was on her, when I was surprised the first 5 I sold grossed over $5,000, and the rest made probably another $8 or $10k. Still have a ton of common ones left, too.

You should have called her back and told her how much you made off of them and then laughed in her face.

While that was tempting, I decided I have more respect than that, plus I believe in Karma.

Just finished selling some circulated Ikes that I picked up from circulation. Five lots of twenty, each lot contained all the same year and mint. The 71 D's, 72's, 76's, and 76 D's (including two or three Type I's) all sold in their first listing starting at $26.50 plus $5 for shipping. The 78's didn't get any bids at $26.50 + $5, so I relisted at $21.97 + $5, and they ended up going for $30! The five lots went for a total of $148. Not going to get rich off it, but it's not too bad.

Yesterday I sold a Kitchen Aid Mixer for $160 plus shipping. Found it last Saturday for $50. Had a great weekend this week too. Found an Affliction Leather Jacket. Limited edition hand embroidered. Paid $150 for that and some other stuff. The other stuff is on Amazon now for $250, the Jacket has a bid of $150. I also picked up several watches, new in box. MSRP is in the $300 to $500 range. I paid about $10 each. They still have the tags and everything.

The Jacket sold for $450, the watches sold for $40 each. The other stuff with the jacket Sold for another $220. That was a very good week.

Back in the day...when you could make "real" money on collectibles on Ebay...I bought and sold a ton of NASCAR memoribilia. On any given day, there may have been anywhere from 800-1000 items listed in the entire "Racing" category...but today, there are usually 10's of thousands listed...anyway...

I bid on a auction simply listed as "Autographed NASCAR Posters". Description said, 3 autographed Nascar posters. That's it. No pictures...I rolled the dice and took a chance for $14. Heck, at least I could sell a common driver autographed poster for about $15 ea. I figured I could make a "little" money.

Posters arrived: 1 Morgan Shepherd auto'd poster (got my $15). Ken Schrader (got my $15)...but the third poster was a 1987 Winston Select poster autographed by all 20 drivers, which included deceased drivers Tim Richmond (no, it wasn't the x-rated version, haha), Davey Allison and Neal Bonnet. Of course, it was also signed by the likes of Dale Earnhardt (still living when I purchased/sold it), Richard Petty, Bill Elliott, etc. etc.

Got a cool $750 for the poster...but dang, I wish I still had that thing today...but the goal was to make a little money.

read this and had to go and dig out mine I bought at the race, it is a 1988..maybe I should list it too,lol
