Looks to me like some type of spencer, what cai. do you think it is?

Possibly the point of another bullet sits inside the base of that one?..May explain the grooves/cut marks on the bottom side. Sometimes it took one bullet to remove the other from the chamber...???
it may also explain why the bottom is 'flared' out...???

It may also be ramrod indentation?

That was my initial thought as well, but comparing it to other Spencers it is somewhat longer from the top ring to the tip. It is .58 caliber. Here it is side by side with a Spencer, it's close but a little different at the top.

Williams cleaner? Missing the base and zinc washers. It also looks fired.

Didnt think about a Type 1 Williams, that's a possibility. All we dig here is type3 so it hadn't crossed my mind.

Here is a strange one I dug near South Atlanta Road. It appears to be a normal three ringer, but has a solid base with what looks like a small protrusion in the middle. It is fired making it hard to ID. Like to hear any thoughts on this one.

I'd guess 'a double load' + a Spencer would be a .52 cal..

That's a good one.
