Just finished a necklace pendant for an old friend for her birthday. I cut and polished the ocean jasper, bought the sweet aquamarine cabochon 40 years ago when you could get facet quality cabs. The pendant is sterling, the bezels are 999 silver, the domes and the back of the small setting 18K. The ocean jasper back is made from two layers with the pattern cut out from the top layer, and then the design is blacked with a chemical patina to get the design to show well. Last two pics are "in the white" while under construction. All pieces hand made, the gold parts are put on with gold solder, both jump rings on the bottom stone are soldered shut. Danged sterling stamp "jumped" and double stamped, but it will be less noticeable with age.
