"O" Ring On The Infinium or Mark II

Somebody had recently asked about what type of lubricant to use on the "O" ring used in the battery pack plug. Here's the response I recieved from Garrett:

"Hi John,

I checked the specs on our o-rings and found that this is high grade military type rubber called Nitrile Rubber. The statement on page 29 of the owner’s manual is actually the manufacturer’s recommendation, silicon grease is preferred but petroleum jelly if necessary. There are several other types of rubber such as Neoprene, Propylene, Butyl, Natural and many others that will break down from petroleum, however the particular type we use will not."

Hope this clarifies any other concerns, and thanks to Garrett for getting this information back so fast.
