I know the RR use number nails but I am not sure what number tacks were for. It does not appear to be a broken nail, it is a tack.

Is the “15” likely for “1915”? Any information would be great!

I found one with a “6” on it last year. Posted it here and found it to be a numbered tack for holding storm windows on hold homes.
