NRA's Armed Citizen, two convicted felons

Jeremy Reed, 30, and Anna Soto, 24, were asleep in the same room as their one-week-old baby girl when they woke to a loud banging sound. They later learned that the sound they heard was their front door being broken into by two convicted felons. Reed recalls seeing one of the men standing at the foot of their bed. Soto grabbed the infant and hid in the bedroom closet as Reed confronted the intruders with a .22 cal. rifle. The men took off in Reed's car, but by then blue lights could be seen in the distance. Both men were arrested 20 minutes later and charged with multiple felony counts, including home invasion, and robbery. (Tampa Bay Times, ST. Petersburg FL. 12-10-12 )

Good for him, no telling what would have happen if he had not been armed, we could just as easily be reading about 3 murders and a rape.......

Good thing he didn't take the time to load his 30 round clip on his AR15. ;)

It was probably a .22 Assault Rifle...........

Sounds like he was a poor shot. He needs to practice more. Now we have to pay to prosecute and house them. Glad everything turned out okay. Hope they don't develop nightmares and flashbacks. Those situations can be terrifying.

BUT THEN... YOU could be a Consultant in the "pokey" helping 'em...

I wonder how one of them was at the foot of the bed and let the homeowner go to the closet and pull out a gun.
If you are gonna be a bad guy at least be good at it.

he would at least have left my house with a buttstock impression on his head
