Wrong, see if they do not support the "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed " then they are not worthy of our vote. If someone running for office does not support all of our Constitution and its Bill of Rights they are not even worthy of being an American, much less a leader...

The same can be said about the boasting you keep making of law enforcement not enforcing gun laws. They cant pick and choose which laws to enforce. Either they do their job or they will be removed. Remember sheriffs are voted in.

Yes sheriffs can be voted out, but the fact still remains Supreme Court has ruled feds can not force state agencies to use their man power to enforce fed laws.... Lets see how many sherrifs are voted out based on the fact they refuse to enforce unconstitutional law....

Supreme Court case Printz v. U.S. from 1997 protected state officers from a federal law that attempted to mandate Brady bill participation. Scalia’s summary states:


“We held in New York that Congress cannot compel the States to enact or enforce a federal regulatory program. Today we hold that Congress cannot circumvent that prohibition by conscripting the State’s officers directly. The Federal Government may neither issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States’ officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program. It matters not whether policymaking is involved, and no case by case weighing of the burdens or benefits is necessary; such commands are fundamentally incompatible with our constitutional system of dual sovereignty. Accordingly, the judgment of the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is reversed. It is so ordered.”

THAT being said... if it IS the "will" of the ppl of individual states for GUNS CONTROL, and individual states have such laws "on the books"... so be it! It has NOTHING to do with the FEDS!

All the sheriffs have said is they will not support any new federal gun control laws that violate the 2nd amendment...

I have no problem with current gun laws in Fla other than they no longer allow open carry which I hope they change, anyone with conceal carry lic should be able to open carry.
