Hi all! Here is my most recent find. Just been killing me cause I've been wanting to share! Been looking and looking for an old one room school house site from the late 1800's early 1900's. Near a group of trees I dug this about six inches down. My hopes are that it is my oldest find yet. Looks to be silver plated and says Barton Bros' Prize Medal School Shoe. If anyone has any input it would be appreciated. Thx for lookin and HH!

Great find! :icon_thumleft:

It might be a collectible/advertising piece that came with the purchase of a pair of shoes - like the Excelsior shoe company is known for. I found listings for the Barton Brothers shoe company as early as the 1880s in the Kansas City, Mo directories. They might have been around into the 1920s though -

found this too -
