Around the corner from my house is a vacant property that makes me drool everytime I walk by. Being Friday mid morning, I figured nobody would bother me if I took a looksy in the front yard and easement. Got to digging only the deep and strong dime and quarter signals with the ACE 350, pulled mostly clad, and my first thimble...its kinda trashed though. I called "last signal", cuz I was hungry for lunch, and I got a choppy deep tone that I wasn't going to dig, until I said to myself, "dig it you lazy biotch" out pops a 43 Merc, but my pro-pointer tells me to keep looking. Same hole, I found an Indian!!!

Google tells me it is a Barclays B48 Indian Chief, made in the 1930's, and is highly sought after by collectors!:headbang: There is just a little bit of paint left on it, but from what I can tell, the paint is original. I don't know if the pic will show the paint....

Thanks for looking!:hello:

Cool indian. I found one like this a few years back in Gainesville Ga. at the Girl scouts log cabin head quarters. The same site gave up forty something silver dimes with most of them being mercs. I guess dues back then was 10 cents.

The Indian is awesome! its items like this that really make detecting so unique to other hobbies! Congrats on the merc, my favorite coin!

Thanks guys for all the likes and fine comments..yes...this hobby rocks!!!:headbang:
I will be hitting it hard tomorrow am...hoping to find a cowboy!
