About 2 weeks ago I got a call from one of my old clients, she said her Friends had bought a home and were in serious need of help so I went up to look at the job. Records said the house was built around 1930 but when the owners started demo on the walls this is what they found.

Turns out it was the original farm house for the property built around 1780. Well when I saw that all I could think about was all the old coins on the property...." Yes I will bid the job and can I detect the property?" and a big YES...
I hit the property today for about an hour to see what was around..

Clad City....
then I pulled a small sterling ring.
Next was the badge.

Then I got a solid Quarter signal and when I saw the edge of the silver roll out all I could think was Seated....
NAaaaaaa...1941 Washington.. oh well still silver.

The next signal was a strong 50c 25c and I am thinking copper...when it rolled out I was like "YES" until I picked it up and realized it was a large flat button with no post....Awwww...
The last signal I dug was a sweet 1891 Indian....Like I said I'll take it..

Nice finds. Wow. Thats an old homesite. Maybe everything is too deep to detect by now.

Those hewn logs are coming out? I hope not, but if they are theres good money in salvaging those.

That is soooo coolllll....about the original logs being there...OMG...I hope they incorporate that in the remodeling!! Don't tear it out! OMG...NO! They can work it into the remodeling of the home.

Great finds too!

SAVE THE LOGS!!!! Save the old home!!! It really tears me up when old things are torn down, that is why I loved Italy so much and much of Europe...I love those old buildings!!! America is such a new country to others and we don't have much of the OLD around much anymore! :(

Happy Hunting and REMODELING!! And Good Luck with the home too!!!

There's a few 1790's log homes around these parts, with newer additions built off of the older structure. They make beautiful homes. If they do decide to tear the structure down, there are companies that will buy the structure, mark it, disassemble it, resale it, and then reassemble it on the new owners property.

What I want to know is how do you unlock the lock with that key ;D

Nice finds, I hope you have the time to make several trips there so you can find more goodies.

Man I hope those people get some chinking on those logs as long as they are exposed.

Wonderful finds :) Keep up the super work!

Some of the logs are in bad shape but we are going to tray and salvage a few areas and restore them, I am one of those people that takes barns down, numbers them and re-builds them, so I know what you mean....

That's unbelievable! What a discovery..

I hope you get to spend a lot of time detecting that site. There must be serious items underground.

OHHHHH!! I know what you'll be doing on lunch break! ;D

Way to go on the permission and those finds! :o Would be great to see some before and after pics on the renovations too! 8)
