... from a supposedly well hunted, church permission.

I decided to get a few hours hunting in before work, and went with a buddy to one of his permissions, an old Church. It was my second time hunting that particular site. These two dimes were the result of the first hunt. My friend found two silver roosies (not pictured).

Yesterday, I was swinging my Anfibio with the stock coil, and it did not disappoint. All but one of the coins were really small, scratchy signals, and they averaged only about four inches deep. I believe that the coins were sitting in the ground on edge because of the rocks mixed in with the soil.

I don't think I've ever found five silvers in just one hunt. All in all, it was a great day of detecting.

Thanks for looking, and HH

Love the silver.

If you're involved in this hobby and have one of those "in the zone" days where great find after find keeps popping up, it's quite the adrenaline rush. You totally kicked butt- Congrats for all that silver!

That's where I was, Jeff. Just like you said, "in the zone". It was awesome, too. I'll tell you what, tho, because of the rocks, I couldn't have dug another hole. I was wore out. Figured I'd save some coins for later. :laughing7:

The church gave up more of it's hidden secrets. One being another Barber Quarter. Also found a wheatie and about four or five old nails. I do wish that I'd stop digging those. Oh, and Mark found a 1944 Merc. and a couple of wheats. All in all, a pretty decent couple of hours. HH - Bill
