Went back to my new cellar spot and walked further through the woods after checking the sattelite..
Found another cellar never hunted :headbang:
Probably the largest one in the area.In the worst shape..
Along the back i found the dump..All black glass and pontil fragment and some beautiful pottery :I did not dig the pit because i wanted to detect and i am not that experienced with pit digging
This area is thousands of acres and is a amazing find in itself..3 cellar holes so far :headbang:

You could find some killer artifacts in the Colonial trash pit. Bill D. (VA) is an experienced Colonial pit digger and you should PM him for tips. I would definitely sift that area soon. ;D

The coppers are icing on the Colonial-era cake. :headbang: I have been collecting old pottery from our sites and placing them in my wife's plant pots around the house. :icon_thumleft: It adds a little Colonial spice to my dwelling. ;D

Kirk :hello:

Good days work worth of keepers there. Nice large cent. Silver always good.
A brighter pic of the button would be good, looks like bat wings ?

More nice Copper and Silver
The Bust on that matron is pristine, she looks like a WWF contender :laughing7:

It looks like a '2' at the top of the button. Wondering if you rotated it 90 degrees to the right if the number or numbers may show clearly. Hope you get some more good recoveries. Hard to come by pristine sites nowadays.

Nice finds Blaze. I like the button with two fan-like tassles. The large cent is in very nice shape. I have been putting colorful ceramic pieces in my potted plants for years now.

Great finds, looks like a property to keep you occupied for a long time.

I like the idea of putting the pottery in flower pots around the house that some have mentioned. I always pick them up but don't know what to do with them

Nice bunch of finds, I have never hunted a cellar hole that had much in it, but I do know where there is one in some woods. Nt.
