Not Sure What It Is?

Hi All,

I dug this just the other day and not sure what it is. So I thought I would post it up here and see what everyone thinks. I am at work so don't know the measurements, but can provide when I get home later tonight. I also included a picture with a buckle I found in the same location. Parts off a saddle. On the round thing, a piece of raw hide would go threw the square hole for tying something to the saddle.

I was thinking furniture hardware, Just a guess..
Like a backing for a drawer pull.??
