ooops!! make that Zincoln
pulled from a roll.
I will make my case:
>>>the curved line is raised above the level of the field
>>>the faint outline of the shoulder is visible in the recessed area of the anomaly
>>>there is a light beveling of the obverse rim
>>>the curved line is slightly above the rim height
>>>the E&D of united have flattening at the tops
>>>rim thickness is slightly thinner at the anomaly
>>>if the coin was impacted with another coin or "vised" the curve would be indented, not raised
the area between the raised curve and the rim of the full coin is lower than the level of the field
>>>the radius of the raised curve does not match the radius of a penny

my best guess is a piece of a CUD that has adhered to the obverse die ???:dontknow:

OR-----it's just part of the Oak Island treasure trove from TEN-X :laughing7::laughing7:

Appears the cud was still there, just look at the shifting! Known as a "retained cud". Nice find! Look at the site "cuds on coins" and try to match it up! I'm jealous!

Wow that's a keeper. Congrats
