Not From Today, But Signs of Spring Arriving Remind Me Our Butterflies will be Returning Soon

My area's largest butterflies are real beauties. The Eastern Tiger and Black Swallowtails, and the Monarchs. The blacks are impressive fliers, fast with steep arcs and tight cornering. Some of my macro photography.

Often people will tell me they see young hummingbirds, when actually they are confusing them with hummingbird moths. They very much mimic hummingbirds in flight. I call them flying shrimp!
