got out today for a hunt with helix and armyjoe from tnet 20 min in to the hunt got a 37 signal about 2 to 3 in down thought can slaw or clad dime but to be safe I dug a big hole flip the dirt out and I see this
I call over the guys take a few pics hoping for barber or seated but wow capped bust its rough but its beautiful and my oldest silver


aslo got this cool stone its about 3 1/2in round not sure what it is

It was awesome to see Tinman do the recovery on the capped Bust! I had a good time just getting out with you guys! It was definitely a learning experience. I did find an 1897 IHP last night at a park. Each hunt is a new experience for us rookies! Planning to hit some parks again today, had a few issues with my machine just chattering away last night for no reason...

Yeah I was fun to see someone else for once find something older. Shoot the Black Hawk wars were only a year or so earlier, our area was still full of roaming Native Americans. Still coin was most likely dropped much later than that. Bet its one of the oldest coins found this year in our area. When I first decide to invite others out to some of my sites I had figured I should be prepared for the invited to make some good finds. If I can't live with it don't do it as I have always been a solo hunter. About your machine for some reason when it gets into the colder weather both of my machines act up like I was telling ya earlier. Colder it is more chances it will happen. They just start hitting on false signals everywhere. Possibly your machine is having same problem? Last night was not that cold thought?

as far as cleaning goes just run some water over it I like it just like it is.Thanks for all the replies it was a big shock to see that cap dime I think the best part was that helix and armyjoe were there to see it. THANKS FOR THE MOTIVATION HELIX
