the wife, kid and i were sitting here in the shop waiting to close up and go play in the dirt...well the wife walked out side and found 3 pennys so i told her to get her detector and go look across the street....
it wasnt 5 minutes later the boy came in with a ring...lol...and we havent even got started yet....here is a pic off my shops scanner....
lol this is aready a good day and the machines havent even been turned on yet.....

markings on the inside read as follows 18kge followed by an a with a circle around it....lol...will be closeing shop in 15 minutes

ok total count from yesterdays adventures.......78 pennies, 11 nickles, 9 dimes, and 3 rings....all cheap costum jewlery....and a bunch of junk.....had a lot of fun and found a couple of spots that seem to have been hit earlier this fall.....gearing up for the next adventure as we speak.

Today on the news they were talking about a guy that has been picking up change off the ground and checking phone booths etc. for about 10 years now. He has about $9,000 saved up so far. Maybe we should just get rid of these cumbersome detectors huh? Don't believe that "Keep your head up" nonsense, keep it down!

my kid really enjoys finding stuff, coins, arrowheads, agates, shells, fossils, frogs, pollywogs, even chicken eggs.....it really makes it nice when the whole family can get out and do something togeather.....looking at getting him a new machine within the next couple of months so he can have his own.....the wife and i both swing whites, any suggestions on what to get a 12 yr old boy for his first machine?

I would be tempted to get him a wheelbarrow tire with handles and grab him by the ankles and wheel him around. Sounds like he has a real knack to locate treasure. Great to hear the whole families involved. Enjoy HH
