Not a dream, nor a Free, but my best box!

My half boxes over my 1st year of CRHing were pretty mediocre with an occaissional box with 4-40% or my previous best box that had a 64, a Ben, and a walker. Most of the boxes were skunks. So, today was a nice change. The results were:
1-$500 half box: 29-40%, 1-Ben, 76s clad, and a 1937 Big penny



I stopped snapping photos along the way.

I still have another box from the same bank to go through. I sure hope it has the rest of the collection.

I think apush's almost a dream box was coined a "free box". I interpreted the nickname as meaning the value of the silver exceeded $500, but I was only guessing.

Her box was 65-90% and 10-40% which is worth about $530 silver content at today's price but she would have paid only $37.50 face. Seems like an appropriate designation.

well a dream box is 100 silvers whether it be 100 40% which is worth slightly over $300, or 100 90% worth around $750+

I too broke my best box record this week... My previous best box was march 2013, and had 28 40%ers...

Yesterday I opened a box with 2 enders facing at me, 5 in total. held 34 40% and 8 90%!! Best roll had walker, 2 bens and a 40% in it... I couldnt believe it!! quite a rolls with 3 silvers in it.

That's what the thought was. Very cool box. I had my best box ever two weeks ago. Nearly the exact replicate of yours. Trade your Ben for a '64 and add a 40%er and we're there.

It's really nice to finally get a box with some significant silver content. Slow and steady stacking is just not as exciting. By the way, my seven and nine year old kids had a blast opening the rolls. My 7 year old was ecstatic when he found the franklin. Seems like you and I started this hobby about the same time last year. Glad to hear you are still stacking.

Thanks info...I'm glad you finally broke your previous record considering the volume you go through. When I counted mine up, I thought it sounded like a similar number to your best box.

Thanks, and I think you're right. Plus it looks like the kids are about the same age. I've had a great start to the year - found 77 40%ers, 3 '64's, 1 Ben, 1 Walker and 1 Silver Commem out of $10,700 in halves. I found my first silver on March 30th of last year. I'll also cross $100K halves searched for my career before the end of March.

Pulled two war nickels out of a box today. Nothing to write home about but hunting is fun. Also picked up $350 in half dumps and $25 in 2013 pennies.

I've only ever found two 90%ers in a BOX one time. Never found more. If I ever find 3 90%ers in a roll I'll soil myself.

I could tell because the big box I had, was loaded with 2013 halves, atleast 30-40 of them. evenly mixed P/D which is kinda odd I think, since im no where close to the west coast :P I saved a mixed roll... donno why lol

Yeah...I have given up collecting the NIFC's for now after I accumulated 4 sets of 2002-2012pd, but I was happy to find the 2013d . So, I guess I'll try to find the other seven to complete the sets...maybe...I'm not very confident about the future value of clad circulated halves...lol.
