Went to a permission we hunted yesterday, didn’t feel like it today, so we had several maps from the 1800’s to look at. We found a place down town that was a opera house built in the 1870’s, and two adjacent buildings they were gutting to redo. They had taken a previous structure off the back, and it was loaded with bottles. All the bottles under the floor of this old building had corked tops, some embossed there was more than 4 five gallon buckets full, and there is still some left, along with steak bones. Found several Civil War Relics, several wheat cents, the newest being in the teens, also found a 2 1/2 cent token that I’ve yet to look up. Several clothing items, a liquor tap, civil war boot tap, kepi buckle, sword scabbard piece, and a super vintage pocket knife with handles still attached, and 3 dropped Civil War bullets, and all were underneath this old building, and the dirt they drug out and spread out. We’re still not done. There is plenty of targets still remaining. We got so wore out from digging, and bottle searching we called it a day.
