i know a lot of these threads are old and responding to them is a shot in the dark. i am in Bergen County and if you want a detecting buddy, send me a message. i often go down to the Monmouth County beaches as well. hoping to find somebody to share some knowledge or i can even teach somebody some basics. i have a spare Ace 250. headphones, and pinpointer are your responsibilities. i do have a spare sand scoop if we do beach hunting.

i know NJ has some really old spots close to me to dig but im not sure how to research and dive into it. a seasoned detectorist would help here. im not a novice, just new to the very old stuff[pre-1900]

in any case, looking for some detecting pals around Bergen County. hit me up.

Hey im also from bergen county and new to the thread and hobby but i have gone to a few beaches and parks in the area. There is a park in teaneck where george washington and his troops camped that i have searched several times without much luck. I dont know the legality of MD there but ive never had any problems.
