NOLA terrorist attack thread

... where the majority of members can neither comment nor view (including me).
It was moved because it was becoming too political.

I really like seeing the perspective of the Tnet members instead of a news website that doesn't update as frequently. Any way to delete offensive posts while keeping us in the loop?.....besides paying for it?

I joined ...20 bucks for a year... just so I could post/view/laugh the politics section... Well worth it!

Then we get PMs arguing it isn't political or someone else's was also political. Much easier and less work for mods to just move political posts to politics forum per our rules.

Charter Membership is only $20 a year, $1.66 a month and besides politics it allows members to sell or trade their equipment ect...

The snag is ( the fear is ) ... you become a regular there by handing over a lunch tab amount of dug clad ... then speak your mind ... then you evaporate entirely from the site along with your clad. 😢

There is a Banner post from Jeff in PA that I cannot view and it appears to have nothing to do with treasure hunting. 26 views and it’s posted in the banner section. I mean I might agree with the discussion If I saw it, but it really degrades treasure hunters from sharing their finds. Maybe a hack, maybe an automated honor? SORRY JEFF.

Are political posts from the subscription are now eligible for banner nominations? That’s a pretty low bar to set.

I don't know about the banner award or how that hapopened, but the thread is in the "Political Discussion" part of the site that can only be viewed by Charter Members. I can now see it, but you will not be able to. You're correct that it doesn't relate to treasure hunting.

Since you can see it. Was it a very high bar to achieve that recognition? As I said I might agree, but if banner finds are automated..WTH?!

This is the first time I’ve seen this.

No, that banner was a mistake, not sure how it happened. I never noticed it myself.

Not RELEVANT to the discussion. But if you’re offering me a Christmas gift, I’ve learned my lesson of looking a gifted horse in the mouth and will not turn it down.

I actually have gotten some nasty PM’s from folks I think I agree with. Not interested in a free for all of diarrhea of the mouth to strangers that would otherwise get along. Does that make sense (having zero to do with politics)?

Not like I can’t afford, but if your offering.

If it were a zoom type meeting (as much as I hate it), it would be more attractive to me as folks wouldn’t just run their mouth different than they do in real life.

I think you’re a great guy that enjoys a debate that can come off as argumentative even though we are on the same side.

There you have it. My position without a subscription and the previous message wasn’t directed to you personally.
Ha ha,.
I thought you wanted to know how someone else, who was a charter member; (RedCoat) could see postings in the political forum.

Ya, I was way off. Sorry.
