This hobby always has a way of causing me to smile. Either from a super find
or even just something silly. Today it caused one because of yet, another strange
find! Given the place I was hunting, this item had NEVER crossed my mind!

In fact, I'd never even seen one before! LOL

Watch, you'll pick up on it. :)

Had some time so I took a walk around a local, fairly new, school yard:

Just a little overdone toasted wheatie. Near as I can tell, 1934-D

This was the one that caused one of my smiles today.

Sounded like just another penny, I dug it up. I said, no not a penny?
Maybe a token?
Then, I saw the format of the picture and words and without reading them.
I said, Oh! One of those presidential coin thingies!
I looked a lil closer to see which one.

"Sir Alexander Busta....wha?!?!?!?!?" :icon_scratch:

Then I flipped it over.

I laughed right out loud! LOL

Who woulda thunk it!? LOL

I was glad I bothered to bend over and pick up this boot!
It's not metal, eyeball find.

But, when I got home, Fishy grabbed this and took off. Blingie took off after
and I snuck in the house without any bling! LOL

Dunno what it is but I gotta admit, Fishy knows style! ;)

Thanks for peeking!

I do believe that's the first Jamaican dollar coin I have seen! Nice hunt.

Jamaican Dollar is cool...

Nice finds, I like the token too and I'd love a Jamaican Dollar. Looks like a good new school to hit on weekends for you. Hope its close for your rebate gas fund.

Neat find. Just never know what the ground is going to give up I guess.

I really kind of enjoy uncovering strange coins from around the world. Makes me wonder all the more about how it came to rest there.

Yeah, it's close but I'm afeared it'll all be frozen pretty soon. :dontknow:

Thanks!

It does make me wonder how it got there?Like Pong said, never know what is hiding under the dirt.

Nice finds! Maybe that's a Barbie boot? Well you're not out in the cold that's what counts!

And at lest that Jamaican coin wasn't gold colored! That would have a heart stopper!
I like the foreign coins the readings are always interesting, and like you said they make you wonder!

Interesting finds! What is the translation of that name? Bustamante= Bust Man?

Bustamante? Glad I don't have that last name. I would have laughed too, but seriously your not all there!

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm out there looking so hard! I'm hoping to, one day, find the rest of me. ;)

Thanks!

Very Nice! Each one of those i have always wanted to find, and in great shape too.I just figured the places you have to go to are mostly more modern overlaid judging by some of the stuff you have been finding. But man those are killer finds.

Oh, I know. It's just that I've only been back in the hobby for a couple years. I've been honing my skills on this new technology and I'm quite a bit older than I was when I found those. I can research and find places that have a better potential. Just don't have the gumption for the work.

Maybe next year I'll try to find more older stuff. In the meantime, I'm having fun, exercising, and finding a lot. :) Makes a
good Christmas club. LOL

Thanks!
