Well, we're into April and no sign of any warm weather yet, and the wildlife is still in hiding too. I decided to go for a walk round the coast and the islands the other day and see what was about and after 3 hours and a few shots of hares doing their thing I packed up the camera gear and started to head home for a hot mug of coffee. That's when things got a bit more interesting, as I was approaching the car park for a small boat yard I saw a couple of guys with big birds of prey on their arms getting ready to go hawking. The close up in the pics are of a Red Kite and a Harris Hawk and as I was chatting with the guys a Marsh Harrier flew over and a Kestrel also came over to have a look. Here's the pics.

Cool pics. My son is a licensed falconer. I see a little green in your pics, so don't feel too bad. As a rule April is our second snowiest month. Last year we got a little over 2 ft. for the month. But at least no 30 or 40 below temps now!

Thanks for the color:thumbsup:, we have a few daffodils coming through but not what we normally get for this time of year. Although we have had a bit of sun the last couple of days and I did pop out today to a small lake to take some more wildlife shots, so maybe it will warm up soon8-)

Hi RGINN, yeah there is a little bit of green but not much else compared to this time last year and we're still having the odd snow shower. It's the north easterly wind that's cooling things right down at the moment, but there are a few signs of things drying out and warming up so fingers crossed:laughing7:
