That's an insult to both pot and metal, it's recyclable at best, but to the untrained eye it's just trash.
Any more than that is just asking too much of it or anyone who attempts to decipher the mystery.
Of all things you could have asked about, why this one? That is the real question.:icon_scratch:

Their smaller than coins, they look to be about an a quarter of an inch. I was thinking maybe it could possibly be a piece of a saddle or something related to that. It wasn't very deep at all and was found in some sand that had been transported from an unknown location. thanks for the picture and the input! I will post a picture of the piece next to a dime soon!

Looks to be a broken zipper pull although a very large pull.

sorry was not thinking indents was for coin, more for bearing on the slide in
but if your using a dime for size, prob not a mech tray for vending

I actually hadn't thought of bearings! I might go back and see if I can find some more parts!
