NO CLUE!!!

I found this and a few others like it over at a friends house. I have NO clue what it is or what it's made of.

It reads, "N & SC RY" on the front and "24" on the back.

Any ideas?

I definately think Railway Button too.

oops just looked again at the reverse. Not a button, Still railway related.

Is it lead?
I think Junkdigger had it right if its lead.
I have found some that look similar and I believe they were some type of Cargo door seal?
