No clue what it is, but it's cool.

I'ts heavy, it's about 2 1/4" wide. It could have been really deep maybe 3-4', I detected the dirt from a 3-4' ditch that was dug. Not sure of the material, thought it was lead, but it doesn't scratch easy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like Lead-Alloy. Maybe a horse rosette, but I'm not that sure.

I'd be very happy with a horse rosette, that's what another thought, but wasn't positive. Any idea on age IF it is a rosette?

The metal mix looks consistant with late Victorian items I have found.

Could be a candle holder or something similar. I found one about like that at an 1845 homestead. Kinda like pot metal looking. HH jgas

Yeah it does resemble the metal a cooking pot is made of.
