First I chained it to a tree so that it wouldn't roll down hill....Made that mistake before changing a heater core, caught the T,Case shifter with the dash knocking it into N...Finally got my foot jammed on the brake at the end of the drive....Not this time!!!!!No room for that screw up again.

I took the drivers side doors off first, then parked it as close as I could to my trailer. Then I ratchet strapped the front and rear of the trailer to the truck so that the trailer wouldn't twist on me when trying to move things...Plus again..it's on a hill.. I had to loosen the bed and slide it back as far as I could to get enough room to slide the cabs to clear the motor. And you've done this and know these frames aren't flat and it's not as simple as sliding the cabs, or the bed...That took a lot off messing around with 2x4 blocks.

And I'm glad I thought far enough ahead....I tied a strap to the old cab to keep it from rolling down into the neighbors yard and fence...And it would of..When it flipped off it jerked the strap right out of my wife and my hands. Then I supported it, and re tied it so it would go anywhere afterwards...
