A half, three different quarters, and five dimes. Unfortunately they are saltwater beach coins, so they are mostly in poor shape. I tried cleaning them with electrolysis with mixed success. The half and the standing liberty quarter look pretty good. The Barber is 1893 and looked better before cleaning, though very dark. Also found this key, a few sinkers, a dozen wheat pennies, and a bunch of highly corroded clad. Nothing spectacular, but it was fun digging them all, and it sure beat being in the office.

Heck yeah!! Darn nice hunt

Very nice silver find
I have silver coins dug from the salt water that look a lot worse than what you recovered

Thanks! These coins looked at lot worse originally. I added a picture from before my cleaning attempt. They look better now, but still rough. D15C6263-9785-4B1A-B3B4-17274CD57219.jpeg

that dang salt water sure does a nasty job on coins
Thanks. You’re right.. Still fun finding them and imagining the scene from when lost. Wish they held up better though..

The ones I get are always encrusted, and when you peel off the crust they look a lot thinner

Awesome finds- Congrats! Your pics demo why I don't hunt salt water (just my preference).

What a FANTASTIC DAY! That much silver in one hunt is amazing. Certainly wouldn't bother me if they were kissed by a little saltwater. Big congrats!

nice area for sure! With dates like that there's got to be gold around.

Wow! That is an impressive pile of silver. Those look like the typical beach silver I find.

Thanks! I prefer non beach finds too. I just always hope where there is silver, there might be gold. While not in great shape, I still like imagining the scene or time when they were lost.

Thanks! It was a fun dig, even if the coins were in rough shape. Certainly not typical for me to dig that many coins. I was lucky the sands had shifted in this one area of the beach that had apparently gone relatively undetected..

Thanks! I guess I could have worded that better 😁. Maybe “no rare coins,” but still fun🤔.
