you should go back there

Thanks guys, I do plan on going back tomorrow . Let you know what I find . The spot is an old 1630-1780 homestead .

1630? wow, great old site! I'll wager you're going to find a lot more than a KGII there. Swing low and slow, dig it all. The site I've been working is mid 1600's and it keeps giving up the goods, but you have to be willing to dig the choppiest, junkiest signals. I bet that KGII sounded sweet when your coil passed over it though!

I love you guys. I have an old homestead site close to my house that i have permission to hunt. Tons of iron and I was almost ready to give up on it but this post has given me inspiration to keep on truckin' on that site. I know there are goods there to be had around the millions of square nails, just depends on how bad I want to get it. Great find!

There was plenty of iron at this site , at least 2 dozen shot gun shells , wire ... I just kept on digging!!!!!

or farthing, depending on size, odds are halfpenny though

No, entirely different type of reverse die used for a halfpenny, and that's what it is regardless of the size. Even if it was a counterfeit the size of a quarter, maybe smaller, the die and style of Britannia would determine which it was. Hope that made sense because I'm not sure how clear it is to read, but if you look at the pic he added, it's a Farthing and is different than what he found. (Tough to compare with the condition issues but find a nice one and do it and you'll see they're different)

I only took seconds looking at it, so will take your word.:laughing7:
