NIFC Kennedy's from slots

So, I was in Vegas last week, and had a couple of hours to kill while the wife and her friends went to a show. So I dropped them off and headed downtown to the EL CORTEZ. They still have a few 50 cent coin slots there so I put in a C spot and hit the cash out button hoping to find silver. Well that didn't happen, but I was somewhat amazed at all the NIFC's I got, 18 of 'em from 2002 up including a 2015.

NIFC does mean "Not intended for circulation" right? Why did I find so many? Anyone have some input?

Someone could've dumped a bunch of them wherever the casino gets their cash from. Finding that many in $100 worth isn't that strange.

At least you have machines that still kick out coin(s) and not those stupid tickets!!:BangHead:

I actually found silver last time I played the 50 cent coin slots, but it wasn't in Vegas.

I live in Vegas & tried it a few times. Haven't scored any silver halves but have found war nicks in the nickel slots.

I hit two veins of casino coins before. One vein had lots of Walkers, Bens, and 90%ers, averaging >10 silvers per box. Another vein had mostly 40%ers, averaging 2 per box. These coins were once used in a nearby casino. Later the casino discontinued on coins so they were bagged and stored in some banks' vault for long time.
