When on a short metal detecting hunt today and only found 2 buttons and lead musket balls, eye balled this scraper lay on the surface fully exposed.

That’s a nice preform/cache blade. It has a bit of greenish color. That’s a highly unusual color for your local flint, which would normally be white Burlington. It almost looks like Indiana green. Nice find for sure.👍🏻

After seeing the other side I’m saying it’s Attica green for sure. The green banding and bits of yellow are the giveaways. My mileage calculator says 270 miles from Grafton to Lafayette IN which is near the source on the Wabash River. Trade or travel, that’s pretty far if you’re on foot.
 

I've seen similar items before while out dredging with my 4 inch suction dredge but never knew what they were , I know now ! But that ended about 10 years ago!
