Went into a Td banknorth the other day and asked if they had any halves. Teller tells me she just dumped all she had in the coin machine. On my way out i ask how much is in the bag, bc if its close il fill it and buy it. She says there only 136.00 in it. I know it takes 500.00 so im about to leave when she says do you want them. I ask if she can do that and she says yes. Im shocked to say the least. The only thing is she has to count them to make sure there all there. As she dumps them on the counter i hear that nice ding sound. The head teller them tells me that there are some nice silver ones in there. She goes on to tell me that alittle old lady bought in a bunch of silver halves, and when the girls were done buying what they wanted they put the rest into the machine. Just as she is telling me this, one of the other tellers over hears and started to pick out silvers that she wants for herself. After she is done counting i ask the other teller if i could buy the ones she took out for alittle more. She says that she doesnt think she can, however the head teller over hears and tells the cherry picker to give me the 6 halves. She explains that i was there first and it was only fair that i get them, since she had her shot to buy them.
