Nice sac dollar 2001 "S"proof----KEY DATE!!!! LOW MINTAGE

OK lets try this again..kept telling me I already posted this...I got this 2001 "s" deep cameo proof from the change machine at work altho it looks terrible in the pic(my cam is not coin friendly) its not only has 1 minor scratch above her eyebrow...altho I haven't actually seen it,was told this red books for $100

I have a 2000 "P" Here is the info I found on coinfacts (Don't know if this would be the actual value or not tho, I wouldn't think it would be that high of an amount but who know's)

well this is a 2001 "S" and it's described(from what I can find) as a "key date"(???) dunno how something this new can have a key date but thats what I found seen them on ebay ungraded going for $60-85

I'm ignorant on these coins. Why are they worth so much? What is the metal content or etc.? The reason I'd like to know is that I have come across them but didn't pay any attention to them at the time.
