I went out for 7 hours today. 2 different settler era log homes that are falling in. My buddy was using my compadre and found this... and I’m jealous, I offered to trade an arrowhead for it and he won’t lol. It’s not cleaned all the way and the pics are fresh dug. Anybody seen one?

Yup .. It is a work clothes /overall button. Those are a blast to find!

I’ve only ever found snap style. This one has an iron looking shank. Ideas on age?

Wow, looking at your pics, someone definitely needs some O'Keeffe's Working Hands Cream. :laughing7:

As creskol already mentioned, your 'friends' button was attached to the front of the overalls by use of a metal rivet.
The top portion of the suspender looped over this portion of the button, this the reason why most were lost. :thumbsup:

Goatskin gloves my friend! If my skin looked like that I would be seeking a doc not detecting!!! Lol thanks for the input everyone. Safe to assume this is late 19th early 20th century?
