These are actually Saturday and Sunday's finds on the new site. The finds range all over the place.
The rains before and after probably make this my last hunt of 2014.. but I'm HAPPY !
A complete and working crotal bell was on my wish list.. this one is fairly thick, so it's intact.. and
I am real happy with the Fredrick Goldman 14 K white Gold ring! could be 1940's to present.
I couldn't find the compact's company but it looks around 1920's on up to me.
So, a little silver, a little gold- so long 2014 Hello 2015 !!

LAST DIG 2014.jpg

Have a GREAT New Year's hunting everyone.. God bless you and your families.

Great finds buddy! Is that petal bell marked? Looks like a nice one. If it's marked it will be down on the bottom by the slit.

Not easy to see but this is a Seth North bell. You can barely see the N and the S is on the other side of the opening

Hey, thanks! the bell is a little rough around the tip and the other side is a little more corroded than this one. I think I can make out either a "0" or a "C" on one side of the slit, but I can't make out anything on the other. Are the markings around the tip/slit usually bell sizes? or maker's marks?

Oh man, that one is very cool! I see what you mean, but it's very hard to make out. I can try and grab a pic tomorrow if you like..

They are often marked with a size(0-4 I believe) but rarely with a Makers mark. Once in awhile you get lucky though. Yours is likely a 0 size mark

Nice digs. Congrats on a working crotal, always good to find! I like the ring and compact cover too.

Very nice finds thanks for sharing and congrats on the success.

That kind of variety keeps things interesting. Nice finds!

Thanks David, I feel the same way..

Thanks! The ring is my first solid gold. I have found several silver, and several brass and gold gilt/plated, so it's special that way too. I had two other crotals but both were thinner brass and flattened.
and the compact is complete! Top has the mirror (although broken), in it, and the hinge is there too but broken. So it was a very neat last hunt of the season. Promises for 2015.. hehe.

Very nice finds thanks for sharing and congrats on the success.

Thanks Pong.. Have a great year.

I found the same flat button a couple weeks ago. Nice hunt!

I don't want to swell your head, but that is a freakin DREAM HUNT for me! The only thing missing is a LC or seated coin. My eyes were drawn to the crotal bell and compact. That looks really old.

Thanks a lot beez and - OH, I agree! It's not like this everyday, or every property. The funny thing about this one is, that I know it hasn't been hunted, because it's full of signals, and I am finding neat artifacts, that's great to me, but except for the quarter and about five wheats, there are NO older coins.. ??? (so far) hehe..
There are LOTS of iron signals though. Many small and many large enough that the AT Pro reads them as a high signal.. some are tools, which I don't mind digging, more than a few are just pieces of large iron "things". So, I still have hopes, if there is a large flat button, maybe there are some LC's or Coppers.. here's hoping for 2015!
Hope yours is great too.
