My cousin and I got an early start, to what felt like a beautiful fall morning. We were hunting a family owned farm in Virginia and we both turned out some great finds. I ended up finding 14 CW bullets, mostly fired 3 ringers. Also an enfield, sharps and fired musket ball. Also dug was a 1905(I believe) V nickel. The big awesome find for the day was my oldest U.S. silver to date, and also my biggest U.S. silver. I didn't know the Capped busts were larger than the quarters after that. It was a sweet 1821. The bullets were enough to make me happy, but the silver really topped off the day. It was right next to the fence and near power lines. So there was a lot of chatter, but the F75 hit on a SOLID quarter. Never be afraid to check near fences, sure I thought it may have been trash or a modern quarter, but I was so pleasantly surprised to see that beautiful eagle on the back!! Can't wait for fall and to really get back in to the "swing" of things. Thanks for looking and HH!

Now that is a fine days hunt for anybody. Not a nice silver, A jump and down and scream " look what the :censored:I just found" silver. Congrats.:laughing7:

That quarter is awesome

Unbelievable. :hello2: What an amazing old U.S. silver find. I would have gone crazy if I found that...like those guys on diggers...probably would have crawled through someone's doghouse and then swung from a tree branch.

ANY capped bust coin is a great find, but a capped quarter or half dollar is a cause for rejoicing! SWEET coin there. Beats my oldest US silver find (1829)! Some great looking lead and other relics there too!

Coin-gratz,

Buck

W O W ! I'd call that one hell of a day! Just think about the person that lost that 25, that was probably a weeks pay maybe!

I was shaking for sure! Woulda been fine with a seated, but COULD NOT BELIEVE IT when I saw the bust. Wow.

I'm pretty sure we've seen way more Capped Bust halves posted on this site than we have quarters , That is a rare find Amigo ! I'm just
shy of voting Banner, and I reserve the right to change my mind here in a while .

too bad someone carved on it. otherwise, it would book for probably close to 700 bucks. but being that it was dug... well, that just makes it priceless. congrats!

Very nice indeed, great looking silver.

Love all the CW relics! That Bust Quarter is an Incredible find! Big Congrats!

Thanks guys.

Lol I thought the same thing haha

that is a super find, roundness and cologne all in one!

What is the item in the last picture there to the upper left of the two buttons? It looks like the back of a memorial penny mashed into something but I know it's not....
