I picked up $165 in dime rolls yesterday - that wasn't the number I had in mind, but they had less nickels on hand than I wanted so I had to shuffle my withdrawal around some. They didn't have boxes at this bank branch, said they only rolled their own coin. But the dime rolls I got were all Loomis.

I got three silvers - 1951-D, 1952-D, and 1964-D. That brings my grand total to 6 on $490 searched... haven't had a skunk yet!

I got as many silvers as I got 2009-Ds (3 of those and 1 P). I've been counting and saving the 2009s just to see how many I get. I've probably got 10-12 total now.

I heard a couple banks say that they've gotten ripped off by CWR - a couple coins on the ends and a bunch of fill in between. That and every bank has at least a decent coin counter now. Even when I requested that they hold them and I'd buy them for what they bought them for, they still weren't willing to change the process. The closest thing I've been able to get is buying full bags off the coin counter, but now I can't find a bank that allows even that anymore. Now our only option is buying rolls wrapped in-house at a couple small-town banks.

Ya rip offs are a problem. I recently bought a can of beer with a roll of dimes. Dude at register looked pissed off. He takes my roll and busts it open, starts counting. Finishes counting and still looks pissed off. Counts them again. Dude, what up? We good? Nods his head yes. I think he wanted to find a problem but I weigh my rolls and know they are good. Probably had a previous bad experience. It's hard to believe people put stuff that isn't money, into rolls and then stroll into a store or bank, on camera, and apparently, never get caught.

It's interesting the differences in banks across the country. I have accounts at BOA, 5/3, and various others, and none have coin counting machines, except for one tiny credit union. Therefore, the majority of banks here take customer rolls, and I have no problem scraping up $1k or more in cwr dimes between 1 or 2 banks when I go out looking.
