I go to the bank to pick up my box of halves. When i ask for the box she brings it out and says "i know you're also intrested in the large dollar coins, I have a few if you want them." she comes walking back and lays down four morgans one peace and three ikes . I gladly handed over the eight dollars.

Found 9 40%ers a franklin and a 1992s proof! i will post a picture when i get home from work.

that '24S Peace looks like a real beautie and it's a better date/mint mark coin too - mintage 1,728,000 - so it may have a little numismatic value also.

I got rrrrrreal lucky earlier this year when I scored 4 Morgan's myself from a bank and one was an 1899 (mintage 330,846) probably in Fine condition.

It's amazing to find silver dollar coins at all these days but to find 'em with some numismatic value also is just incredible. But you just never know what you might find - esp if it is from someone's coin collection.

Congrats again on the great score! I'd sure say that teller has earned some chocolate or donuts for sure!

Thanks. I saw your post above listing the dates/mintmarks. My eyes are definitely failing me lately. It looked like 81, but is apparently a 21. The 24S is beautiful.
