While going through some coins in my cash register at work last night I came across this beauty: a 1915 Wheatie! It's in pretty worn shape, but hey it's got history. Here's a picture, albeit in poor quality.

Sweet. What's your oldest register find? Mine is a 1916 S cent.

That 1915 is my oldest register find thus far. I also found a 1919 about a month ago, which was nice to see. When did you find the 1916-S? Is it in solid shape?

My 5 year old son got a 27 wheat in a coin star reject tray the other week. We started a putting them in a book. Good find

The 16-S was the coin that got me going on CRH now MDing and stacking. That was 2008. Long story but a co-worker's husband was into old coins and sparked my interest. Good enough shape to get me goin'. Best register find didn't make it to the register. Customer paid with a merc. I snatched it up straight away. Don't remember what year, but hey, it's silver.

Nice save. My wife actually got a Merc dime back in change last month, & our daughter got a '57 Rosie. I chimed in this week and received a '45 Wheat.

Funny what you still find in circulation. I have a habit of eyeballing around the pumps whenever I get gas. The other day I found a 1917 Wheat just laying on the concrete.

My dad is probably found five silver coin's in the to return slot from newspaper machines in our small town over the last year
