After many unproductive trips to various creeks, I finally got one. Still having trouble finding “sites” on the creeks. The points seem to be very randomly dispersed. Anyhow, I’m very happy with this and am going to have to go with Hopewell on the type. Thanks for looking!

Nope, no base grinding on this one that I can tell. It’s got slight jaggedness on the bottom

Great find. That’s a nice point. Actually looks to me like it used to be longer, the base was snapped off and it was rebased and notched. Well done sir.

Awesome find.....doubt I would have spotted that, reminds me that I need to buy a small hand rake.

With those long, horizontal thinning strikes across the stem and the steep bevel at the very bottom, I'm inclined to agree with rebased. Those attributes don't seem to fit with the rest of the knapping. Also, hafting it as is would require a slotted shaft rather than a split shaft (FWIW) and the notches don't match very well either. They likely would have matched better before "fixing it"!
