When CW relic hunting I will always put trash items and farm iron in my truck bed and every month or two I'll give everything a quick inspection before trashing. The iron objects usually get the most attention since they are usually encrusted with rust and a few taps with a hammer sometimes exposes a nice relic. That's what happened this weekend and I came away with a small lock, a knife, a possible bridle rosette, and a nice Enfield musket lockplate. The lockplate got a quick electrolysis bath and turned out great.--JB
