What does NGAC stand for? A little research leads me to believe it stands for possibly North Georgia Agricultural College 1871-1929 in Dahlonega Georgia. I dug a few items at a spot I've detected before including an early Duck Head button. Any help with NGAC I certainly do appreciate......... DSC01124.JPGDSC01130.JPGDSC01126.JPG

This is the best I could find, hopefully this confirms your suspicion. NGAC appears to have a cadet corps in the early 1900s, here is a link to a photo of the cadet collar device. I would say that the look of the text on the collar is spot on to the buckle you have:

Nate, now how cool is that? Your research interests me greatly. Cadet corp never crossed my mind. I agree, the text font style is very similar to my NGAC buckle. If you notice my avatar, the 1851 eagle belt buckle is what I dug in the same field here in South Georgia. Thank you for sharing this info kind sir!!!

Here's a square buckle plate that I found for comparison, similar border frame:

It also stands for "Nashville Golf and Athletic Club". Maybe a buckle from a golf bag?
