Next Assault on 2nd Amendment: Mandatory Liability Insurance

that dude a plant? noooooo.

Yup you caught us all. Plants - every single one of us. We are breaking out the big guns (no pun intended) for the 2nd amend forum of TNET to convince the half dozen or so gun extremists. You got us fair and square. Another new world order conspiracy uncovered!! Better submit this great news story to infowars!!

That’s an easy one and I can answer it straight away. Up until the 1970s Norway was one of the poorest countries in Europe. The only thing we had was fishing, lumber and some agriculture. Norwegians was in fact, for a time, the second largest immigrant group to the US after the Irish and today there are more people of Norwegian decent in the US then there are people in Norway.

And why did they leave, freedom? HA!! get your facts straight, Norways has always been one of the most "free" countries to live in in Europe simply because of the placement, nobody had the time or the money to control us (is a bit like Alaska). He left because of bad times and wanted to make something of him self, and hopefully he did :)

I repeat the 2nd amendment is not open for debate it is an established right in our Bill of Rights.

If members wish to debate allowing the 2nd amendment you will need to go to another forum to do so, might I suggest WWW.grunt.Com , I am sure you can find a lively debate on the 2nd there.......

Ok then! I would say he did, He had offspring that knows what it is to be free, and make your own way in life.

Well done BEVO! Thank your ancestors for their wisdom. As I thank mine!

Thanks alot bud

And it is the reason that we are such a great country. LIBERTY!

Whether you respect TH personally or not, you NEED to respect his position. You can disagree without being disagreeable.

Me on the other hand, I welcome the insults.

Like I asked the guy breaking into my house in January: "Are you really sure you want to come in?"

picker....I don't understand the "what is more lethal?" tangeant. Does it matter? If you are talking about the extent of damage I would guess that a 12 gauge slug is "potentially" more lethal than a 223 from a AR15. So, are shotguns more lethal than AR's or not? So why not take away everyone's shotgun? Oh, forgot, that's the Whitehouse's weapon of choice. Anyway, will requiring legal gun owners to buy gun insurance stop crime?

Well, I can see the What's his name Tag Team is here in full force.

Ignorance on parade.

So, if you had a gun and I had a gun and I pull my gun on you are you going to piss yourself and cry or are you going to try to stop me from killing you?

You know the answer, however, as a plant here you are simply trying to confuse the issue.

Your argument is simply without merit. Either you are a plant or a child with no knowledge of life.

If we both were armed and you pull your gun on me you better damned well be fast. And if I'm close enough, it won't be a gun that causes that warm red liquid to leak all over everything. My life is more important to me than that of some jerk I don't even know. Why should I give up my right to see my kids and grandkids grow up?

You and I my friend are on totally different planets, I pity you for living in a world where you think the only way to live is by the gun. You are the one without merit, you are the one the has forgotten to live like an civilised person.

And believe me my friend, if I had a gun, and you pulled one on me, you better be dammed fast and aim true because if not I would blow you to kingdomcome if you even blinked. That’s the nice thing about a country with mandatory military service, we may not have a privat weapon but many of us have a service weapon (a 7,62 NATO round makes a big hole) stashed in the closet and we surely can use them….

Tazz, that last post makes you seem kind of skitzo, huh? Why would you need a gun. Why would you pull it on a non threatening civilian?

You are right, I am glad you do not have one!

What is wrong with training a few "willing" teachers in each school and maybe paying them a minimal amount over their regular pay like a shift differential? We don't need the governmental monster a few of you have determined we would need. It's not that complicated. Thing is, will making legal gun owners buy gun insurance help in any way?

It had nothing to do with TH, this was Dave I was replying to. And I of course try to keep the discussion in the same tone as the people I am discussing with. I am also extremely aware of the fact that I am really not in any position to discuss the 2´nd with since I am not a US citizen, but I unfortunately can´t help my self (sorry, I just see the 2´nd topics in “Activ forums” and I can´t help my self). So I am eagerly waiting for the F5 I am expecting in the mail so that I can discuss more fun topics :icon_thumright:

Just making a counterpoint to the very stupid argument that is often posted of you can kill someone with a bat so lets ban all bats. Hopefully we never have to see someone using thst or any variation of that ridiculous argument if you can even call it that. Any it certainly took you 4 or 5 posts before just admiring the plain obvious truth.

As far as the insurance goes I think it's purpose is to necessarily stop crime - is it? Could potentially be more like a cigarette tax. The use of cigarettes cost the government and society billions a year in health care costs, lost productivity, etc, etc. maybe people want gun owners to be insured to potentially cover gun related liabilities. You take sandy hook. How much money do you think that is costing the town and state - prob millions and millions. Is it fair that the citizens have to pay for that - no way. Maybe folks are thinking that the mother would have had insurance on her guns and then the town and state could make claims against it? Not sure if that's the purpose. Do you know?

Actually Taz, you are more than welcome to any discussion on this site. It's open to all as far as I know. Sometimes a person with no dog in the fight will have a more intelligent way of looking at a situation. I don't have a womb but I do have my opinions on abortion.

You are right, I am glad you do not have one!

Not a skitzo, but here its quit clear who can own guns;

- Handguns - be a member of a pistol club for at least 6 months
- Rifles/shotguns - take the natinoal hunting exams and be registred in the "hunters register"
- Homeguard (national guard) - having theire personal weapon at home (Heckler & Koch G3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) or (Heckler & Koch HK416 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Other then that is just regular army and police that can have guns at home.

I, as most of the people having a homeguard weapon at home (I got an old AG-3) don´t think a lot about it, and most of us don´t like having them there. But we learned in 1940 that having centralised weapon caches is just stupid.

That said we are of course not people that will just roll over when somebody threatens us (like Chaedaux), the difference being that this kind of "threats"/taunting isn´t a part of our daily life and its just not a issue we have to think about. But when somebody makes a stupid comment like that, of course we can respond. But instead of going to pick up “my” gun and face the fool, I would just call the police and they will take care of him. Why should I make my self a criminal just because somebody else is trying to show off?

This time however I answered in the same tone, even though I am a gun control supporter, I can handle a gun, and I can handle it very well..
